Providing community meals through food
to show Jesus' love in practical ways.
With food poverty, loneliness and community division on the increase, we aim to promote Christian values through serving others.
“Be quick to give a meal to the hungry… be generous with the different things God gave you… That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus” 1 Peter 4:9-11
We are preparing free ‘Emergency Care Bags’ for distribution to anyone in Brentwood and the surrounding areas. These will include groceries such as pasta, chopped tomatoes, soup, soap, biscuits, toilet roll, tinned pulses and tuna.
If you are aware of someone who is self-isolating and running low on essentials, someone living on their own who may not have the support they need to get supplies, or even if you find yourself self-isolating and unable to get hold of essentials like food and toiletries, we are here for you!
Manna Meals is a Christian charity that exists to support anyone in need through food, friendliness and love for our neighbours. We are here to support any organisation or individual in any way we can.
Manna Meals provides a regular, free, freshly cooked two-course hot meal for anyone who walks through the door. Our cooks prepare meals such as shepherd’s pie, lasagne, sausage casserole and roast chicken with all the trimmings; puddings include sponge and custard, pineapple upside-down cake and peach cobbler. Our current meal location is in the Church Hall near McDonald’s at 24 Briar Road, Harold Hill, Romford, RM3 8AH.
We also provide a free bag of staple groceries for guests who wish to use them. These may include milk, cheese, pasta, rice or pulses, bread, eggs and fresh fruit.
We are proud to work with a number of fantastic partners, including our local FoodBank. They play a vital role in supporting our work with those in the community.
Relief of hardship, distress and suffering through food, practical advice and other forms of Christian care.
Provision of free meals to the elderly, homeless, people on low incomes and anyone else in the community who would like to join us.
We can signpost people to get the support they need from local community resources and partner organisations.
Over time, we have been able to build relationships with guests that have allowed us to supply a wider form of Christian care outside of our meal times.
All the work we do is carried out by a group of dedicated volunteers who give spare time to our work in the community.

Guests at Hope Mums
Thank you so much for the cakes and the shopping; they were such a blessing. We had 17 mums and 22 kids, and 3 new families who were very touched by the shopping.

I can show what my faith is all about by sharing God's love, listening and caring for people in need.

Manna Meals is an opportunity to meet people, the food is good and it’s good to get out of the cold, isn’t it!

Manna Meals is about showing the love of God to our community in a practical way. We want to bless those who, for whatever reason, are struggling.

I come for the company and the food. It’s helped me over the bereavement of my husband.
